These words from the lullaby “How to sing Goodnight” from the self-titled debut album quietly describe the musical landscape of The Secret Sound of Dreamwalkers. The rest of Kristine Marie Aasvang's lyrics on this album play around with daily life observations mixed with mystical and dreamlike symbols, hence the name The Secret Sound of Dreamwalkers. Aasvang's melodic compositions and singing style sends your mind on a trip to the Mongolian outbacks, an empty bar in a ghost town, and the Norwegian snowy mountains.

Kristine Marie Aasvang has been very active in the Oslo undeground scene as a singer/songwriter, sound artist and singer/background singer in a good amount of bands since 2007. With a masters degree in fine-art where she explored the use of her voice as art the same time as working with more traditional techniques. She is also contributing her voice and flute playing to a growing list of album releases from various artist and is a regular member og the Harvey Steel show and has recorded and toured with Torgeir Waldemar.

Thomas Bergsten has a Bachelor of fine-art and has played with a great deal of Oslo underground bands since the early 00s. A multi-instrumentalist and leader of the psych gospel jazz group the Harvey Steel show, he has a large number of obscure records, tapes, CDs, pampflettes and theatre pieces behind him ranging from acoustic guitar to noisey hörspiels.

Alexander Lindbäck owns the underground record label Safe & Sound Recordings and has contributed his drumming skills to a long list of recordings by St. Thomas, Signe Marie Rustad, Roger Græsberg & Foreningen, American Suitcase, Mark Olson, The Jayhawks, Sister Rain, Folque and Grant-Lee Phillips to new but a few.
